Welcome to my website. My name is Lisa Schreiner and I am a professional artist living in Western New York. I create artworks in a variety of media drawing my inspiration from nature and animals.
Through my art work, my goal is to share the love that I feel for nature and the secret world of animals. There is much tenderness, love, and beauty that is all around us in the natural world. My pledge to you is that 10% of all my proceeds will be donated to charities that focus on conservation and animal rescue.
Let me tell you a bit about myself......
I am a British born artist that found my forever home in East Aurora, NY. My development as an artist started as a young child, growing up and attending school across the street from Sherwood Forest, in Nottinghamshire, England. My favorite memories were of drawing, painting, walking and biking on my father’s farm. On the farm, I would help feed the animals and collect eggs. I had a fascination with stones and would seek them out and collect them on my walks as I would identify the flowers by the side of the road. So it was at a very young age I started to appreciate nature and the beautiful wildlife and animals around me.
I excelled in art at School and placed top of the class at graduation, but ended up taking a different career path. Over the years though, I continued to draw periodically, until after the birth of my daughter in 2003. I realized then that I needed to go back to what made me happy as a child and so began to draw again on a more consistent basis. I decided to create my own art education by taking workshops, classes and reading books.
How to reach me...
I work out of Happy Trails Art Studio, a small studio space located in the print shop on the Roycroft Campus in East Aurora.
